The Washington Mayfair Hotel in Curzon Street, Mayfair

The Washingon Mayfair Hotel in Curzon Street is a deluxe four star hotel with a history that stretches back to before the first World War.

The hotel, complete with beautiful Art Deco styling, opened in 1913 but was soon requisitioned as part of the war effort. It was taken over by the Ladies United Services Club who used the new hotel as a base as they assisted at Victoria Station in the repatriation of injured soldiers returning from battle.

After the war, the Washington returned to service as a provider of high quality accommodation in London's exclusive Mayfair district. A refurbishment took place in 2007 - 2008 which means this hotel has a beautiful interior to match its stylish exterior.
